Whilst the U.K continues its battle against the Coronavirus, Spire Home Care are acutely aware of the dangers faced by our clients and carers. That’s why we’re taking all the precautions necessary to keep our most vulnerable, safe.
How we’re keeping clients and caregivers safe
- By ensuring our carers are following Government guidelines on PPE usage, including correct application and disposal of equipment
- Following the correct and up-to-date guidance for infection prevention and control
- Minimising face-to-face contact where possible
- Reducing the number of contact points for the extremely vulnerable
- Limiting contact between staff members as well as preparing our office for potential closures or work from home scenarios
- Supporting the NHS Test and Trace service by keeping an extensive up-to-date record of all client and caregiver contact points
- Putting treatment escalation plans in place if urgent medical care is required
- Communicating with clients and supporting their mental wellbeing by several means such as alleviating anxiety or concerns about Coronavirus, drafting in support groups if needed and maintaining routine to give a sense of normality
- Helping isolated clients communicate with loved ones
- Ensuring our clients have an adequate food and essentials supply
- Giving family members peace of mind by having their loved one cared for by a professional and passionate carer
If you or your loved one is in need of home care, Spire Home Care can provide safe at home care regardless of their COVID status. We’re closely monitoring Government guidelines and are fully prepared should the rate of virus escalate.
